Today was day one, hence the blog title. This was an easy day. I sent out books to three college students, one being my daughter and the other two were friends of hers.
Last week, I stumbled across this really awesome book titled, Welcome to College: A Christ-Follower's Guide for the Journey, by Jonathan Morrow. It is just what I've been looking. And even though I ordered it last week, today was the day I mailed it to my recipients, so that counts.
Day one, act of kindness, check!
It's cool that you're doing doing this blog. It encourages me to know that others have been inspired my my attempt to love my wife more. Keep it up. It'll be quite a journey. BTW: I know Jonathan Morrow--I went to school with him.

It is so easy to let life get in the way and forget to show the ones we love most how important they are to us. Thanks for the reminder!
DeleteThat's cool that you know Jonathan Morrow. I actually also bought another book that he wrote with Sean McDowell, but my 17 year old took it over. That just tickles me! I guess I should probably write and tell him the impact he is having. Hey, there's an idea for another day :)
